One of the biggest and most ambitious announcements from the February 2025 State of Play is undoubtedly Saros. It is a single-player third-person action game from Housemarque, the studio behind the award-winning Returnal. It is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro in 2026. In Saros, you will explore the lost off-world colony of Carcosa. Players will take the role of Arjun Devraj, a powerful Soltari Enforcer performed by Rahul Kohli, known for Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher.

The game will evolve the satisfying core gameplay of Returnal. It allows players to make permanent upgrades for their weapons and suits, defining its tagline “come back stronger” after every death. An extended gameplay showcase will be released later this year.
