Learn how to preload Overwatch 2 Season 15 Honor and Glory before it becomes available for everybody worldwide.
Overwatch 2 is releasing its Season 15 on February 18th, which is now up for preload. This feature will allow players to surpass the server traffic and occasional crashes on the official release day. The developers are bringing a lot this time around. So, naturally, the regular player base is as excited as ever. PC players will be able to preload this update and stay one step ahead.
Preloading Overwatch 2 Season 15
Console users can visit their respective store apps and search for any additional Overwatch 2 files available or just check the app for updates and see if the preload file is available to download already. As for the PC players, the process is slightly lengthy. All PC users must know their way around Battle.net to preload Overwatch 2 Season 15. Don’t worry even if this is your first time, just follow the following steps:
- Head to Battle.net and enter your account credentials.
- The next step is to locate Overwatch 2, select it, and then select the prompt that says “Download pre-release content.”
- One more thing to do here is click on the Settings icon near the Play option if the prompt doesn’t appear automatically. Now, click on “Check for Updates.” Once the algorithm has checked for updates, the prompt will show once the update is ready to be preloaded.
Without preload, the update will fully be released on the 18th of February at 11 AM PT. So, keep at least 2.5 GB of space free on your systems before the preloading/updating to ensure a smoother transition into the new season, Honor and Glory.
What To Expect From Overwatch 2 Season 15?
The word in the gaming world is that Overwatch 2 is struggling to keep up with the player base which is quickly slipping away. Statistics support some of these arguments, which is probably why Season 15 is bringing a lot of new content for players to enjoy. There is also a new feature of competitive drive, enabling players to access unique player name highlights that was temporarily introduced earlier.
Players should expect the usual rank reset in the game and get ready for that grind. There will be a new skin for Zenyatta called Pixiu Zenyatta, which will require 80 Mythic Prisms to unlock. A weapon skin called Galactic will also make a stop this season, which you can add to your collection alongside Golden and Jade.
