Will Smith revealed on xQc’s stream that he is working on I Am Legend 2. It will also star Michael B. Jordan.
Twitch and Kick streamer Felix “xQc” landed yet another big-name collaboration yesterday (February 19, 2025). The French-Canadian streamer was joined by none other than Oscar-winning actor Will Smith. The stream naturally garnered a lot of reactions from the streaming community. One particular moment that got a lot of eyeballs was when Felix brought up the idea of a possible sequel to I Am Legend. For those unaware, I Am Legend is a post-apocalyptic action thriller film starring Smith. It is often considered one of his most-watched works.
During yesterday’s stream, Felix read out the chat. He said:
“People are saying I Am Legend 2. Is that a thing?”
Will Smith responded by revealing that he is indeed working on an I Am Legend sequel. He also revealed that it will star fellow Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan. Smith said:
“Yeah, nah, that’s a real thing. Me and Michael B. Jordan, we sat down for about a week, just went through, you know, character stuff, Akiva Goldsman is the writer, so, he spun that together. No, that’s a real thing.”
He also had some praise-worthy comments about Michael B. Jordan:
“I love to work with that dude. He really gets it. I work with a lot of young actors and young performers, and it’s like, there’s a diference between actors and movie stars. Actors can come in and do their part and give us a spectacular performance. A movie star understands the whole machine and know how to present themselves, all the way from the concept of an idea to the delivery on a red carpet in 190+ countries. So there’s a scope of understanding that Michael B. Jordan has that everybody doesn’t have.”
Not the Only Sequel That Will Smith Talked About During xQc’s Livestream
Movie fans had a field day when Will Smith made a surprise appearance on xQc’s Twitch stream. The streamer attracted hundreds of thousands of live viewers. Alongside revealing that he’s working on a sequel to I Am Legend, the actor also hinted at the possibility of Hancock 2.
One of xQc’s friends read the chat and said:
“Somebody said Hancock 2. That’s my favorite Will Smith movie.”
Will Smith replied that they are also in talks about making a Hancock 2. He added that actor and model Zendaya has been shortlisted for a role in the film:
“They (chat) be leaking all my information. There’s a really cool Hancock 2 idea. We haven’t even talked about it. I am going to give you one little piece – Zendaya will be approached for Hancock 2 for a role in Hancock 2.”
