The newest Assassin’s Creed Shadows has reportedly been leaked early. Here is everything you need to know.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows copies are reportedly already circulating out in the open. This is on the basis of leaks where it is alleged that some users have already received physical copies of the newest Assassin’s Creed installment.

Leaked Details About Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The leaks have reported that the game seems to have lots of motion-capture cutscenes to give it a more theatrical feel. The leaker has reportedly played the game on a PlayStation 5, in performance mode.
They also claimed that no bugs or glitches were found in 10-11 hours of gameplay except for one instance of an NPC walking through a wall. This does mean good things for the game. Moreover, they have reported that the game starts off with Yasuke, and switches to Naoe after the prologue finishes.
The leaker has also compared the game to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima, saying that it adds an Assassin’s Creed feel to it. This can be true since both games have very similar settings, being set in feudal Japan. They also instilled confidence in the game’s stealth mechanics. Along with these, the leaks also showed some gameplay, along with gear pieces for both Yasuke and Naoe.
However, it is unclear how true these claims are since all of these could just be rumors. There has been no official confirmation regarding these leaks, so we will have to wait and see whether these leaked rumors turn out to be fact or fiction.
Moreover, players should consider the possibility of this leak being of an older build of the game. If that is true, then the final game could have lots of changes from the above-mentioned leaks.
When is Assassin’s Creed Shadows Officially Releasing?
Ubisoft amended the release date of their newest Assassin’s Creed game. The game was originally supposed to be coming out in November 2024. However, the date was pushed back to February 2025. The game saw another delay and is now confirmed for release on March 20, 2025.
This would mean that the game might have leaked a whole month early. It is still unclear where the leak originated, and how it occurred. Therefore, take everything with a pinch of salt until you see any official confirmations about the same.
