Kai Cenat called out YouTube sensation PewDiePie and questioned how the latter got such a sizeable fanbase.
Kai Cenat, a Twitch streamer, just finished another marathon of streaming the Batman: Arkham series. He talked about YouTube veteran Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg in front of his audience on February 24, 2025, during the second part of his Arkham: Origins playthrough. The streamer explained that his opinions might not be popular before he carried on with the discussion. Kai wondered why Felix had become so popular and questioned the YouTuber’s success. He stated:
“This may be an L take, and, I apologize in advance, but I couldn’t see how ni**as got into PewDiePie, I’m sorry… I’ll be honest, that might be an L take though.”
Cenat and fellow streamer Lil Rodney Son, also known as “girlhefunny1x,” who portrayed Robin in the series, were unable to understand the hype. Rodney expressed that he wasn’t on board with the PewDiePie movement and said that he didn’t watch him. He agreed with Kai Cenat’s opinions and said:
“Nah, I agree. I feel like I didn’t watch him.”
Additionally, Rodney gave his fellow streamer a reality check by pointing out that some viewers might not comprehend Cenat’s status as one of Twitch’s most popular creators:
“It be like that sometimes, because everybody’s not for everybody, because some ni**as may say that about you.”

Kai Cenat had Called Out PewDiePie Previously
PewDiePie is one of the most renowned YouTubers ever. Among his accomplishments is that he was the most subscribed individual YouTuber from 2013 to 2019, a position he maintained for almost ten years.
Additionally, Kai Cenat has apparently had the same opinions about PewDiePie for a long time. In 2022, when he was still gaining popularity, he was questioned during a livestream with Agent00, Chrisnxtdoor, and Fanum. Agent asked the group:
“Who do you guys think is the most overrated YouTuber?”
Kai thought for a little while and then gave his answer. He stated that it was PewDiePie and questioned how he had so many followers. He said:
“Imma keep it a stack, me personally, I don’t know how PewDiePie has the most subscribers.”
Kai went on to say he thought YouTube had better quality content creators, such as playthrough YouTuber CoryxKenshin. He said:
“I feel like ni**as like CoryxKenshin, and a whole lot of other ni**as is like… “
