Popular streamer xQc says Kai Cenat’s take on PewDiePie’s content is “uneducated” and stems from an ignorant point of view.

After Kai Cenat commented on popular YouTuber Felix “PewDiePie’s” content, xQc called out the streamer. For the uninitiated, Kai Cenat had previously stated that he does not understand how people watch PewDiePie’s content. Kai was under fire for this opinion, as Felix is regarded as one of the biggest content creators on YouTube. The other Felix, xQc, responded to Kai’s stance, calling it an “uneducated” point of view. He remarked that it was an ignorant comment, and it does not have to be a “take.”
“See, not everything has to be a statement or a take. Chat, there’s no opinion to be had about this. There’s no opinion ’cause it doesn’t have to be a take. It’s just an ignorant comment or a statement. It’s just kind of maybe an uneducated in that department.”
PewDiePie is a veteran YouTuber with over 110M subscribers on the platform. While comparing him to the current generation of content, xQc stated that it was similar to the history of rap music. xQc remarked that PewDiePie’s content is equivalent to old school rap as he revolutionized the way content was perceived, as there was no concept of going viral. According to xQc, PewDiePie invented the “let’s play” category in the content world with some of his old gameplay videos. Felix added that the YouTuber made the best content, and nobody was doing it better at the time.
“He was doing something at the best that nobody else was doing better at the time. Literally, the guy was doing the thing that was popular the best. It was the best of the best, literally.”
“Everything Is Watered Down”: xQc Compares New Content to PewDiePie’s Content
While reacting to Kai Cenat’s take on PewDiePie, xQc claimed that much of today’s content, including streaming, has become “watered down.” While the streamers try to do everything right, they miss the broader perspective. xQc stated that PewDiePie pioneered the content genre of let’s plays.
“Someone was bound to take over and attract a big audience if they were going to pioneer that genre. So, PewDiePie was absolutely gigantic because he was doing a lot of stuff. At that time, people didn’t have a lot, and his content was high-quality and high-density.”
During his stream, talking about new content creators and streamers, xQc said:
“Now, everything is watered down to the crisp. ‘Guys, it has to be the correct stream with—guys, I do only the good stuff, only the things that are going to work.’ You can see that someone who doesn’t do all the correct little things, who’s more broad, would say, “Oh wow, who would watch this sh*t?”
