Asmongold has reacted to HasanAbi’s recent ban on Twitch. The two political commentators have recently been at loggerheads.

Twitch streamer and former OTK member Zack “Asmongold” has finally weighed in on the recent update involving fellow streamer Hasan “HasanAbi.” For context, Hasan has been banned on Twitch following some controversial remarks about U.S. Senator Rick Scott. While it is not confirmed if his comments were the exact reason behind the suspension, the community believes it to be so. For those unaware, during a stream on February 28, 2025, he said this about Scott:
“If you cared about medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott! Okay? You wouldn’t make Rick Scott, former governor of Florida, Rick Scott, you wouldn’t make him a prominent part of the Republican Party.”

Hasan faced a lot of backlash following this comment, including from Asmongold, who labeled his comments as a “call to violence.” He said this during his March 1, 2025, stream:
“You can’t say that. That’s crazy. Totally indefensible. I am shocked, honestly…It’s so obviously a call to violence. It’s so obvious it’s not something you should say.”
Yesterday, the streamer reacted to HasanAbi’s ban, stating that he had no part in it:
“I take no accountability for it. It was Twitch that made the decision, not me. That’s the way I look at it.”

Asmongold has responded to viewers who suggested that his public criticism of HasanAbi influenced the decision to ban him on Twitch. However, the former OTK member denied any involvement, stating:
“‘It was you talking about that Amazon VP that made them (Twitch) move.’ I don’t think that’s really the case. It’s funny to think about it but I don’t really think that’s the truth.”
Asmongold also responded to a viewer asking if he thinks streamers making threats of violence should be permanently banned:
“If it carries a lawsuit with it and the person gets tried criminally, then yeah, probably. But if it’s just some off-handed comment…there’s a degree to it where it’s more okay and less okay, right?”
HasanAbi has also responded to his ban. He quote-tweeted, once again calling out Rick Scott, stating that next time he will choose his words more carefully but still labeling him a fraud. He said:
“I’m sorry! ill choose my words carefully next time & say “if mike johnson cares abt medicare fraud (since he wants to cut 800m from medicaid/medicare) he’d call for MAX PUNISHMENT for current fl gop senator/former gov rick scott- who has done the most medicare fraud in us history!”
