You’ll find this boss in the Veil of the Forsaken area, where it guards a special fishing spot that’s worth the trouble of beating it.

Getting to the Boss Fight
There are a few things you need to do before you can fight Scylla. First, you’ll need to get past the Calm Zone gate by finishing two puzzles. One that’s like the Zeus Trial Obby and another where you place fish on podiums like in the Poseidon Temple. After that, you’ll reach the Chess Board puzzle that lets you into the boss arena.
The Chess Board Puzzle
The Chess Board is your last stop before the boss fight. You’ll see four chess pieces that match Hydra’s heads. To solve it, just push each piece forward until they all turn green. Be mindful though; you only get one minute after moving the first piece. Some pieces need more than one push to work. If you run out of time, you can try again.
Getting Ready for the Fight
Before you start the fight, make sure to grab an Advanced Glider from Glacial Grotto. You really need this because if you fall into Scylla Pond during the fight, you’ll die and have to start over. The glider helps you move around safely while dodging attacks.
Beating the Boss
You’ve got 10 minutes to beat Scylla, and you’ll need to build a crossbow to do it. Here’s what to do:
- Find three weapon parts around the arena: Bow (in the Northeast), Arrow (in the Northwest), and Base (in the West)
- Watch out for fireballs from Hydra’s heads while you collect the parts
- Use the stairs near each part for safety
- Keep the parts in your bottom hotbar for easy access
- Head north to the Crossbow Construction spot when you have all the parts
- Press and hold E to put the crossbow together and win
Helpful Tips
Here’s what will make your fight easier:
- The parts glow white; you can spot them from far away
- If you’re playing with friends, split up to collect different parts
- Stay on the platforms and use your glider carefully
- The stairs at each spot give you a safe place to dodge attacks
After you build the crossbow, you’ll see a cutscene of Hydra going down. Then you can finally access Scylla Pond and try to catch the big sea monster swimming in there.
