Here’s a detailed walkthrough of the Mosaic of Memories mission in Split Fiction, a mission in Chapter 7 that is based on Zoe’s subconscious mind.
Chapter 7 of Split Fiction takes place in a story based on Zoe’s subconscious mind, and the Mosaic of Memories is the second mission in this chapter. How To Begin the Mosaic of Memories Mission in Split Fiction
At the end of the last mission, An Ominous Welcome, Zoe and Mio enter a gallery that depicts the artwork from Zoe’s childhood. Of particular interest will be the mosaic on the floor that showcases Zoe’s childhood home. It would seem that the duo’s next destination would be the house in the picture. This is where the cut scene ends and the Mosaic of Memories mission begins.
Mosaic of Memories Mission Guide
Phase 1
Walk along the path in front of you and pull the floating platform toward you using the catfish. Jump on the platform and release it to make it return to its original position. Next, Mio’s owl will be able to unlock a path using the sphere in the tower ahead. Once inside, Zoe can pull you up. Jump along the rays of light coming from the tower.
Keep moving forward by completing the simple platforming sections. You’ll have to rely on the catfish and owl abilities frequently here. In one section, your catfish will be able to rotate a sphere that brings the light rays toward you. You can then jump across the light rays. As soon as you get to the other side of this section, you’ll find a bench where both of you can sit. If you have been sitting in all of the benches throughout the game, sitting on this one will unlock the Sisters: A Tale of Two Besties trophy.

Phase 2
Sitting on the bench will trigger a conversation between Zoe and Mio, where the former will provide more details of her childhood, especially about Lord Evergreen. After this dialogue ends, proceed on and use the catfish and owl abilities to activate an elevator that takes you upward. climb up a ladder and after some platforming, activate the golden sphere in this area. However, the platform you create here will move continuously. So, ensure you time your jumps properly to avoid falling to your death.
Soon, you’ll arrive at a sphere shooting a light beam. Pull it down, and you can walk on top of the beam to get to the next section. Release the sphere for it to return to its original place, allowing you to climb even further.
At the next sphere, use the catfish and owl to create a light beam pole. Bring the pole to the right side using Mio’s owl, and then climb up the light beam pole. Then, jump to reach the next section. Again, create a horizontal light beam and get on top of a platform that moves up slightly. After walking along a wooden beam, you’ll reach a section where you’ll have to activate another beam of light. This light will reflect off a mirror on the other end and let you climb to the upper platform. You can then move the beam again to reach the topmost part.
In this next portion of the Mosaic of Memories mission in Split Fiction, you’ll activate another gold sphere that doesn’t create light beams. Instead, there will be small blobs of lights that you can jump on to move forward. Finally, you’ll reach a door with an empty cavity and a golden sphere floating in front. Send the catfish into the empty cavity first and then use it to pull the gold sphere inside. Then, use the owl to activate the sphere inside the door to open the way forward. Doing this will lead to a cut scene, and this mission will come to an end.
