Discover the 5 best Naruto games based on their gameplay, features, and the legacy they left with our list.

Naruto is one of the only anime series with great video game adaptations, alongside Dragon Ball. These not only do the anime and manga series justice but are also fantastic video games in their own right. So, we will be showcasing the 5 best Naruto games that players will surely enjoy with our list.
1. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

The first entry in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, this game is a brilliant addition to CyberConnect2’s vast catalog of Naruto games. It introduced a beautifully explorable world that is absent in future titles. Additionally, Ultimate Ninja Storm introduced the fantastic boss fights that the Storm series is now celebrated for. Just like the majority of the original Naruto games, this game adapts the series until the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc.
2. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5

Ultimate Ninja 5 is one of the best Naruto games on the PlayStation 2, and for good reason. The game has an amazing OST and features an open world with a surprising number of side activities. It is a 2D fighter, so there won’t be any cinematic boss fights present. However, the fighting mechanics on their own are relatively fun and give unique properties to each character.
The game adapts the story from the Kazekage Retrieval arc to the end of the second Sasuke Retrieval arc. Additionally, there is an unlockable side story where players get to experience Sasuke’s training under Orochimaru.
3. Naruto: The Broken Bond

The Broken Bond is Ubisoft’s sequel to Rise of the Ninja, released on the Xbox 360. This game covers the story from the search for Tsunade up until the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc. While the combat itself isn’t all that special, the open world is where the game shines. The game features a great recreation of Konoha, and progressing through the missions requires players to solve puzzles here and there.
Each character serves a specific purpose in progression. For example, Naruto is the only character who can destroy Rasengan-marked obstacles using his Rasengan.
4. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is hailed by many as the perfect Storm game. Although the open world is still present in this game, it feels a bit limited in exploration compared to other games on this list. However, it shines the most in the story mode. The game covers everything from the end of the Pain arc to the unmasking of Tobi.
The boss fights are better than ever, and it also features missions where the game turns into a musou, which is always highly satisfying.
5. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

If we talk strictly about gameplay and boss fights, this is for sure the best Naruto game. Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was many fans’ only hope of being freed from filler hell back in the day, and it came to the rescue. While Storm 4 cut some corners by removing some cutscenes in the story, it paid off, as the boss fights have never been better.
Additionally, the graphics and effects are unparalleled. With the game boasting the second-largest roster in Naruto game history, it is a must-play for every avid fan.
