Discover the secrets to mining legendary Gold Ore in Rune Slayer with our expert tips. Dive into our guide for top strategies!

Gold in Rune Slayer isn’t like the other ores. It doesn’t spawn on its own, and there’s no specific location where you can simply walk up and start mining it. Instead, Gold is a rare drop that appears only when you mine certain other materials, making it both frustrating to find and incredibly valuable when you do.
If you’re new to the grind or just tired of wasting time looking in the wrong places, this guide breaks it down step-by-step. From which ores to target, to how to increase your drop chances with items and buffs, everything you need to know to efficiently farm Gold is right here.
Get Gold in Rune Slayer
Gold is classified as a Legendary Ore in Rune Slayer, which already makes it harder to come by than other materials. It cannot be found through standard ore spawns. Instead, Gold drops as a secondary material while mining Platinum and Mythril. This makes the process luck-based, but there are still ways to improve your odds.
Start by focusing on Platinum. It’s classified as Uncommon and spawns in Bahlgar, specifically within the Knights Templar region. Compared to Mythril, which appears deep inside Balgarom Chasm, Platinum is easier to access and mine repeatedly. Mythril has a slightly higher chance to drop Gold, but the spawn rate of Mythril itself is low, making Platinum the more efficient choice for consistent farming.

To increase your chances of getting Gold, you’ll need to build around luck. Craft and equip a Lucky Ring. You’ll need 2 Gold Bars and 4 Platinum Bars to make one. The ring adds +1 Luck to your character, which slightly improves all drop rates, including Gold. Additionally, you should bring a Golden Fairy with you. It applies the Fairy Buff, which adds three additional drop rolls each time you mine. Combined with the Lucky Ring, this significantly increases your odds of finding Gold.
Once you manage to collect Gold Ore, take it to the Blacksmith NPC. There, you can smelt it into Gold Ingots, which are used to craft high-tier equipment. Items made with Gold typically serve as direct upgrades to your existing gear, offering stronger stats and greater durability.
Gold is rare, but following the right steps makes the grind manageable. Focus on Platinum farming, equip the right tools, and use drop-rate buffs whenever possible.
