The Grand Hub in Monster Hunter Wilds has brought in a new Barrel Bowling mini-game, and this guide explains all of its mechanics in detail.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 has brought in one of the most sought-after additions to the game – the Grand Hub. This giant arena functions similarly to the Gathering Hub that existed in previous titles. As such, various side activities are exclusive to this area and can offer a fun respite from your tedious hunts.
One of the mini-games that you can play in the Grand Hub is Barrel Bowling. This game is based on the same mechanics as real-life bowling but involves a barrel instead. In this guide, we will explain the Barrel Bowling mini-game in Monster Hunter Wilds and explore its mechanics.
How to Play Barrel Bowling in Monster Hunter Wilds?

You can play Barrel Bowling in Monster Hunter Wilds by talking to Rolie in the Grand Hub. Rolie is a new felyne NPC whom you will find at the far right corner of the Grand Hub, and after a short conversation, you can play this game. You will need to use one Barrel Bowling Voucher to take part in this mini-game. The first time you talk to Rolie, this NPC will give you 10x Barrel Bowling Vouchers. After this, you can acquire this item from other sources like Login Bonuses, Support Ship, or by trading in Suja.
Each Barrel Bowling game consists of two rounds, where you throw one barrel in each round to get as many points as possible. Once you pick up a barrel, you can position yourself anywhere on the launching platform. Press the alt fire to aim, and press the primary fire button to throw the barrel. There will be several groups of targets, and each hit will give you points. When the barrel reaches its last point (either by colliding or by losing momentum), it will explode, triggering all the targets in its vicinity. The higher your points are, the better your overall tier and subsequent rewards.
Where to Find Rolie in Monster Hunter Wilds to Play Barrel Bowling?

Follow this path to find Rolie in the Grand Hub of Monster Hunter Wilds:
- Once you enter the Grand Hub, take the first right that is paved with wooden planks.
- After crossing the short wooden section, take the left and keep heading forward.
- Eventually, you will reach a singular NPC tent (or stall), where you can find Rolie.
The first time you encounter Rolie, the NPC’s name will not be visible. You will have to finish the conversation entirely to reveal his name. Rolie will also give you the basic details of the Barrel Bowling mechanic here in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How to Score Points in Monster Hunter Wilds Barrel Bowling?

As mentioned before, there are several groups of targets in the Barrel Bowling mini-game. Each target group has different points:
- First group: Small targets, 2 points each.
- Second group: Large targets, 20 points each.
- Third group: Small targets, 2 points each.
- Fourth group: Large targets, 20 points each.
- Final target: Singular large doll, 200 points.
The targets that you hit on your first throw are automatically removed during your second throw (other than the large doll at the end). The final score that you get in Monster Hunter Wilds Barrel Bowling is the sum of your scores on both rounds.

Based on the score, there are five grades that you can receive:

- B tier: Score above 300
- C tier: Score above 100
- D tier: Score anything
Note: We have received A, B, C, and D tier scores. The S tier score is speculative, and we will update it as more information is available.
