Unlock the full potential of your Sea 1 rods with our step-by-step guide to the Anti-Debuff Altar in Roblox’s Fisch.

Old rods still have fight left in them, and Fisch just gave you the tool to prove it. With the new Anti-Debuff Altar added to Sea 2, your Sea 1 rods no longer have to suffer that brutal 50 percent stat penalty.
Instead of tossing them aside, you can now bring them back to full strength and use them to catch high-tier fish without any drawbacks. The process isn’t instant, though; you’ll need to track down specific items, place them correctly, and time your visit right.
Anti-Debuff Altar in Fisch
First, make your way to Cursed Shores Island in Sea 2. This is where the Anti-Debuff Altar is located. You’ll know you’re close when you see a giant Cthulhu figure rising from the island base.
Start by heading southwest from Waveborne Island toward these coordinates:
X = -216, Y = 86, Z = 1917

Once you land, follow these steps:
- Walk past Brother Gleem, the NPC in the clown wig.
- Continue forward to find the Angler’s Hut.
- Go behind the hut and cross the bridge.
- Climb up the next part of the island and pass the stairs.
- Walk by Brother Murk, and you’ll see a tunnel entrance on your left.
- Enter the tunnel and go straight down to reach the altar.
Now, before you interact with the altar, you need three specific items:
- Sea Leviathan – Found by fishing in the Open Ocean of Sea 2
- Moon Idol Sea 2 – Caught during the Blue Moon event at Lushgrove
- Cursed Thread – Caught by fishing at Cursed Shores in Sea 2
Once you have all three, go to the altar and place them correctly:
- Sea Leviathan goes in the center
- Moon Idol goes to the left
- Cursed Thread goes to the right
Next, wait for nighttime in-game. The rebuff process only works at night. When it’s dark, hold your Sea 1 rod in hand, approach the altar, and press the E key. This instantly removes the 50 percent debuff from that rod and restores all its original stats. You can now use that rod effectively in Sea 2 without any penalties.
Note that this process only applies to Sea 1 rods. You cannot use this method to buff Sea 2 rods or any other gear. After the ritual, you’re free to fish across Sea 2 with your restored rod and make full use of the bestiary.
