Although increasing the Lifeward Capacity is not mandatory, it can be a game-changer in Runescape Dragonwilds. Here is how it works.
The realms of Ashenfall often test your endurance and skills with deadlier threats. While Health and Stamina bars play a crucial role in your combat, the Lifeward bar provides far greater advantages. Although not an essential requirement, the Lifeward can make your combat easier. Located at the top of the Health bar, Lifeward absorbs a significant amount of damage and prevents your HP depletion, saving you during critical moments.
The higher your Lifeward capacity, the more damage your character can withstand. Increasing the Lifeward capacity in Runescape Dragonwilds can save you from critical one-shot skill attacks. Here is how to increase the bar in the survival crafting game.

How To Increase Lifeward Capacity in Runescape Dragonwilds
In Runescape Dragonwilds, your Lifeward capacity increases based on the armor you are wearing, especially the chestpieces. While the starting armor offers no Lifeward protection, it can be increased by equipping Reinforced Armor and Bronze Armor. Since the chestpiece determines your Lifeward capacity, you can pair it with different pieces to suit your playstyle. If you are aiming for set bonus, equip the complete armor set to enjoy special buffs.
The Reinforced Armor provides 25 points on the Lifeward bar, while wearing a Bronze Armor adds an extra 25 points, setting the bar capacity to 50. Increasing the Lifeward capacity by wearing better armor sets can make the difference between life and death, especially when you are up against fierce enemies or during intense boss fights.

How To Restore Lifeward in Runescape Dragonwilds
Your Lifeward bar will gradually deplete as it absorbs damage, requiring you to restore it to maintain the protection. However, restoring the Lifeward is not the same as restoring your HPs. Instead of healing potions, you need to use Wardstone to restore Lifeward, which can be crafted at the Rune Altar.
While a Small Wardstone restores 30 points of your Lifeward, Medium or Large Wardstones can considerably increase your restore rate. Despite its benefits, using Wardstones builds up the Toxicity meter, requiring you to strategically use them during combat. Although consuming food can restore a bit of Lifeward, it is not recommended.
