What Does the Max Level in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Mean?
Once you reach Level 99 in the game, you no longer earn any experience points. Similarly, if any or all of your attributes reach Level 99, you won’t be able to improve those any further. So, you will stop earning Attribute Points for Luck, Agility, and the other attributes present in the game. However, you are still free to earn Lumina Points to further improve your build.
Also reaching max level in the game unlocks the Survivor Trophy. So, it’s well worth the grind to unlock the level cap.

How Does Levelling Up Work?
If you’re just getting started, you should understand how you level up in the game. You acquire XP by defeating enemies throughout the world. Your active party will get most of the XP from any fight, while those in reserve will also earn some experience points.
As each character in your squad levels up, they’ll get to spend Skill and Attribute Points. Skill Points will unlock newer abilities for every character. On the other hand, you can spend Attribute Points to improve specific Attributes of each member.
However, this isn’t a linear progression. You can use a Recoat to respec any of the characters’ abilities and Attributes. This can help you to alter your strategies depending on the kind of enemies you’re facing. Besides skills and Attributes, you can level up weapons too. The cap for these is Level 33.
