Throughout your time in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, you’ll come across many different Paint Cages. Each of them opens when you break off the three locks. Inside, you gain access to rare loot and rewards, so it’s worth collecting all of them. Even so, one particular Paint Cage in Sirene can be quite tricky to break open, and you might struggle to get the loot hidden inside it. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can destroy the locks on the Sirene Paint Cage and what you’ll find inside.

To find the Sirene Paint Cage, head past the Dancing Classes Expedition Flag and go up the stairs. At the top, look to the left and find a large opening in the wall. Enter the hole and descend using the gold thread. Proceed forward by crossing a gap with your grappling hook. You’ll eventually reach a platform, and the Paint Cage will be directly to the left.

As always, you’ll have to shoot the three locks to open the Paint Cage. However, finding the third and final lock can be a challenge. You can see the first two locks directly behind and to the left of the Paint Cage—simply shoot these to destroy them. For the final lock, return to the stairs where you entered the area. Go past the stairs and reach a wall. To the left of this wall is the final lock for the Paint Cage.

The third lock being quite a distance away from the Paint Cage can be confusing for players at first. However, following our directions should help you claim the rewards inside.

You’ll get a Level 13 Shield Affinity Pictos inside the Paint Cage. It has the following stats:

  • Speed: 118
  • Critical Rate: 16%
  • Effect: +30% Damage when you have shields. However, if you receive any damage, all your shields will be removed.

As the stats show, this Shield Affinity is only useful if you’ve mastered the art of parrying and dodging. Otherwise, you’ll be left vulnerable every time you get hit in battle, with all your shields disappearing.
