Clair Obscur Expedition 33 rewards you when you explore every inch of its world and its many characters. There are many events or fights that you can completely miss if you don’t deviate from the beaten path. Finding Alicia and the optional boss fight that follows with her is a perfect example of this. Many players might completely miss this moment offering more backstory for characters in your team. So, to ensure you don’t miss out, here’s how to find Alicia in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
How To Find Alicia in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
To even begin finding Alicia, you’ll need to reach Relationship Level 5 with Maelle. You can build up your relationship with her by spending time with her at Camp. Once you get to this level, a special cutscene will unlock in Act 3 of the game, where Maelle will ask for your help to track down Alicia. To find Alicia, you’ll have to go to the very top of Reacher Tower. Follow the steps mentioned below to reach her.
- Step 1: From the Reacher entrance, take the rope up. Continue along the path and use the grappling hook to cross over a gap.
- Step 2: You’ll soon arrive at a crossroads. Take the right path and you’ll reach a hot air balloon. Ride it to the top.
- Step 3: Rest at the Expedition 61 Flag and then continue until you reach the mountains. Take the left path and ride another hot air balloon.
- Step 4: Upon reaching the top, head up using the stairways.
- Step 5: You’ll soon face the Orphelin. Fight it or head past it to ride the third hot air balloon up.
- Step 6: When you come up to the foggy area, go right and find the final hot air balloon in this region.
- Step 7: Ride to the very top using the balloon and take the right path to find Alicia at the end of the pathway.
As you near her, a cutscene will begin playing. Following the scene, the battle with Alicia will begin.

How To Defeat Aclicia in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The fight with Alicia will involve Maelle in a solo faceoff. So, make sure she is at least Level 50 at this point. Also, equip her with Pictos and skills that favor the solo fighter. You should also keep in mind that Alicia is weak against fire attacks. Given her backstory, that’s both ironic and sad. Besides that, you also need to remember that she has a Gradient Attack, which follows her Phantom Strike move.
Other than this, you’ll simply need to become familiar with her attack patterns. Timely dodges and parrying are the best ways to defeat Alicia quickly without taking too much damage.
Defeating Alicia will give you 3x Resplendent Chroma Catalysts, which you can use to upgrade your weapons. Besides this, you also get the Level 21 Lithum Weapon from her. Maelle can equip this weapon.
