If you ever land a suspension in school, the principal usually asks you to write an apology letter or help the staff out in some form to lift your suspension. This practice holds in the Mages Guilds as well, with the mage Raminus Polus acting as your principal.
Head over to Raminus Polus in the Arcane University and the mage will give you tasks to complete to lift the suspension. The crime you commit determines the task you get. Complete the task as given by Raminus Polus and return to him once done to have your suspension lifted.
