Explore this walkthrough on how you can complete the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest in Oblivion Remastered.
In Oblivion Remastered, many factions play important roles in Cyrodiil. Some faction quests span many missions, but some last for only one. Nonetheless, every mission does its job to slowly build the world and make it seem as lively as possible. Order of the Virtuous Blood is one such mission that deals with vampires and the Order of the Virtuous Blood, a faction that specializes in hunting vampires.
Although simple, there are two endings to this quest depending on the choices you make along the way. Here’s a walkthrough for the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest in Oblivion Remastered, including both endings.

Initiate Order of the Virtuous Blood Quest in Oblivion Remastered
Firstly, you must increase your Fame to 5 or higher, then spend some time roaming around the Temple District. Soon, a woman named Ralsa Norvalo tells you that her husband, Gilen, asked her to tell you to visit Seridur’s house. The house is in the Temple District, so you can just follow the quest marker. Talk to Seridur and follow him to the basement.
Seridur then introduces himself as the leader of the Order of the Virtuous Blood, an organization that deals entirely with killing and exterminating vampires in Cyrodiil. Additionally, he says that he saw a person named Roland Jenseric killing a woman a few days back, and accuses Roland of being a vampire. He then sends you to deal with Roland, who is at his house.
Killing Roland in Oblivion Remastered
At Roland’s house, you won’t find him. However, on a table, you can find the “Love Letter from Relfina”. Upon reading the letter, you discover a hidden shack, which is your next destination. Additionally, you can check out the basement to find out more about Roland. You can visit Seridur, who tells you to check the cabin out, and that he can’t help you because of the order having no proficiency in fighting, or you can go directly to the quest marker.
Once at the cabin, talk to Roland and confront him. You soon hear from him that Seridur is the actual vampire and that Seridur is also responsible for his lover’s death. Here, you have the choice to either believe or kill Roland. We do not recommend attacking Roland because Seridur is, in fact, the real vampire. However, if you do defeat Roland, you obtain 250 Septim from Seridur once you inform him of Roland’s death.
Defeating Seridur in Oblivion Remastered
If you believe Roland, he thanks you and urges you to visit Phintias, owner of the First Edition bookstore in Imperial City. With 60+ disposition on Phintias, he reveals that Seridur often visits him and mentions the Memorial Cave. That is your next objective. Follow the quest marker and prepare for a bloodbath.
The entire Memorial Cave is filled with vampires and other unholy creatures. Moreover, there are some other basic enemies in the mix. You have to either kill everything or sneak past the enemies deep in the cave. You are going to have a marker, so getting lost is impossible. Once you find Seridur, he dissuades you by saying he shouldn’t have hired you, but other members insisted.
After his long monologue, he attacks you with the intent to kill. Seridur is a tough and fast opponent. It is recommended to level up a bit first before attempting this fight because of its difficulty. Once you defeat him, loot all the vampire ashes and get back to Roland to deliver him the news.
Rewards for Order of the Virtuous Blood Quest
Roland is happy with Seridur’s death and decides to keep the Order intact. Moreover, he asks you to visit Seridur’s house to talk to others. The members of the Order apologize for their shortsightedness and make Roland the leader of the Order of the Virtuous Blood. Moreover, he rewards you with the Sunfire Ring, which has Resist Disease and Reflect Magic enchantments.
Lastly, Roland makes you an honorary member of the Order of the Virtuous Blood. You can now bring vampire ashes to Roland and exchange them for 250 Septim. This concludes the mission guide for Order of the Virtuous Blood in Oblivion Remastered.
