Oblivion Remastered doesn’t officially allow you to respec your character. However, there are workarounds available to players on PC. Console players, on the other hand, have no way of changing the attributes and skills of their character once they exit the Prison Sewers at the start of the game.

In this guide, we’ll take a look at how PC players can respec skills in Oblivion Remastered and why console players can’t do the same.

The process of reassigning your character’s skills and attributes only works with the help of console commands. Since only PC users can use the console command window, the respec feature is sadly limited to that particular platform. If you’re on PC and want to respec how your character has progressed so far, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Step 1: Press the tilde (~) key to open the console command window in-game.
  • Step 2: Type in the following command – player.setav [attribute/skill] number]. Here, you’ll have to mention the attribute or skill name you want to alter within the first brackets. After that, you’ll need to enter the level at which you want to set that skill or attribute. For instance, 60 for Level 60.

The following is a list of some of the console commands for the different skills and attributes.

  • player.setav intelligence #
  • player.setav strength #
  • player.setav endurance #
  • player.setav willpower #

For each of these, you’ll need to replace the # with the number at which you want that attribute to be set.

To keep things fair, you can calculate exactly how many attribute and skill points you have earned till now. Then, use the console commands to reassign the same number of skills and attributes to your preferred options. Or, if you’re just looking to dominate every enemy, you can raise these skills and attributes to 100. This will make you almost godlike in your abilities. Keep in mind that using console commands will disable your Achievements for that playthrough.
