Wolf Hawkfield is Back
One of the most prominent names from the franchise and a true fan favorite is returning in Virtua Fighter Project. This time around, he will be donning a completely new look. Embracing the title of a beast with his gnarly muscles and silky ginger hair, he comes back as a one-man show. This time around, Wolf’s motivation is his true love for wrestling. In comparison to the previous games, Wolf will have more of a heel personality.

Deep-Dive Into the Character’s Backstory
One of the flaws from the previous installments was the lack of compelling backstories. The characters were not driven by enough motivation and made it harder for the fans to connect and root for them. This is one of the groundbreaking improvements which will be a part of the new game.
When playing with a character, you will now have a much better sense of their personalities. This will apply to characters from the past as well as new characters, who will be revealed in the upcoming months. Characters are also now refined and made to fit the modern age, but at the same time, they will retain some of their authentic features.
Cross-play for Virtua Fighter 5
What makes Virtua Fighter stand out from its competitors is its way of portraying a true sense of martial arts discipline in each character design. They are now upgrading their legacy under the safe hands of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios’ strength in narrative design. The drive to create a strong lore is what fuels this project to new heights.
They have officially made an announcement that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is going multi-platform. This means that it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as on Steam. The best part is that it supports cross-play. To make the cross-play experience even more seamless, the rollback functionality from Steam will now be supported with all platforms. More features will make their way to make this far better than just a simple port.
Virtua Fighter Open Championship
The series will see its first official global tournament take form with a grand prize of $100,000. This will be a truly global event with participants welcome from every corner of the world. Online as well as offline qualifiers will be held across North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia. Players residing in these regions will be able to take part in the online qualifiers. This is the list of tournaments for offline qualifiers.
