Important details regarding the next major Helldivers 2 update have leaked online recently. Here’s everything to know about it.
Helldivers 2 has recently found itself in a sea of controversy. A player has claimed that they spotted a leak accidentally posted by PlayStation, which reveals many details regarding a major upcoming update for the third-person shooter title. Arrowhead Studios has already unveiled the incoming threat to the players through the Illuminate update, where players must stop the enemy from reaching Super Earth.
However, as per the leaks, players will be battling the Illuminates on Super Earth itself in the next “Heart of Democracy” update. This implies that the enemy will successfully invade the home planet of the Helldivers despite their efforts to halt them.
Helldivers 2 Update Leaks Reveal Potential May Release Date
Recently, a Reddit user named xTekshi posted a screenshot of a post from PlayStation’s Czech Republic account on the R/Helldivers subreddit. Naturally, the post was not in English, but xTekshi assured everyone that it translated to PlayStation asking players to defend Super Earth.
The developers have announced a full-scale Illuminate attack for Super Earth in the game, which solidifies the claims of these leaks, and the fact that PlayStation has now deleted the original post further adds to it. The post also reveals that the “Heart of Democracy” update could be coming to Helldivers 2 on May 20, 2025. Many fans have already considered this date to be genuine since the current Major Order is set to conclude on May 20 as well.
Additionally, the term “Heart of Democracy” was also mentioned in the latest “Galactic Emergency” trailer and its description. However, none of the other PlayStation accounts mentioned any date.
Fans Have Seen Surprise Updates for Helldivers 2 Before
If the leaks are true, then that could mean that players will get the opportunity to battle on Super Earth sooner than expected. It also means gamers might get to see large-scale firefights in major city areas. This aspect, combined with the new enemy types and the weapon customization, has already excited many from the Helldivers 2 community and the general audience. Some who have stopped playing the title have also expressed their interest in taking a trip back to it.
However, skeptics are still suggesting that after the update on May 13, it is too soon for Arrowhead Studios to launch more content. Enthusiastic fans have already countered this statement by pointing out that the developers have surprised players with major updates before. Still, we recommend that you take the leaks with a fair amount of optimism and skepticism until official announcements.
A Good Time To Fight For Democracy
