Learn how to migrate your save file in The Slormancer from the Experimental Branch to the Live Branch with ease.

The Slormancer just got out of Early Access on May 13, 2025. The latest Version 1.0 update brings several bug fixes, harder enemies, and new trials for you to challenge and overcome.
Although the latest version just released a few days, the Experimental Branch has been up and running since April 29, 2025. This was done to identify any remaining bugs and iron them out before the full release. Naturally, players who invested their time into the Experimental Branch will want to migrate their save files into the Live Branch for The Slormancer.

Fortunately, Slormite Studios has allowed the Experimental Branch saves to migrate into the Live Branch. Although, the process to do so might be a little tricky for some.
Fear not, as we will go over this entire process in a step-by-step manner.
- Locate the following folder: C:/Users/(Username)/AppData/Local/The_Slormancer
- Within this folder, locate the file named: save_exp_cbeta_1
- Copy and rename the above file into: save_1
- If there is an already existing ‘save_1’ file, move it somewhere else or delete it. (This will make your existing progress on the Live Branch disappear.)
(Note: The above process assumes that you wanted to transfer the first save file. However, the process will remain the same for other save files as well. If you want to transfer your progress into the second save file, simply rename the file name to ‘save_2’ and so on.)
Most of the hard part is over, and now we have the final step. Start the game up, and you might have a pop-up appear before the game launches. This will ask you whether you want to progress with the local save file or the Cloud save.
Make sure to pick the local save file. Otherwise, your data won’t be transferred over. The game should open up, with your Experimental Branch progress having moved to the Live Branch.
That was how you can migrate your Experimental Branch save file to the Live Branch in The Slormancer.
