Developed by Dualpoint Interactive, it is a sequel to the original Apocalypse Rising, which was released in June 2017. It is a first-person shooter with survival elements, where players start with basic gear (a revolver and a pocket knife) and must find weapons, ammo, medical supplies, and food to survive. This article will provide a beginner’s guide to Apocalypse Rising 2.
How To Play Apocalypse Rising 2
When you press “Play” on the game’s Roblox page, you will automatically be placed in a lobby. Here, you can play around with your settings and see which ones you want to adjust. You will find another “Play” button in the lobby. Hit the “Play” button, and the game will place you in a random spawn location on the map.
At spawn, you’ll start with limited gear, such as a pistol and a knife. From there, you’ll need to explore buildings and loot various locations. Opening crates will involve RNG (random number generation), meaning the weapons you receive will be randomized. If you want better loot, you’ll need to head over to the POIs (named locations).
Another way to get loot is by eliminating other players. Once you take down enemies, you can loot their gear.
How To Win Duels
To maximize your chances of winning duels, keep these tips in mind:
- Positioning and Awareness: Use cover such as trees and buildings, and take the high ground for better visibility and a tactical advantage.
- Use Third Person: Third person allows you to have a greater field of vision.
- Avoid Open Areas: Open fields make you an easy target. Stick to forests, buildings, or urban areas for cover.
- Aim for Headshots: Headshots deal more damage, especially with snipers or high-damage weapons.
Controls

Movement:
- Move: WASD keys
- Sprint: Left Shift (consumes stamina, regenerates when not sprinting)
- Jump: Spacebar (double-tap for a double jump)
- Crouch: C or Ctrl (reduces noise and visibility)
Combat:
- Interact/Pick Up: E or Left-Click (for items, doors, etc.)
- Fire/Shoot: Left-Click (for firearms or light melee attacks)
- Aim Down Sights (ADS): Right-Click (for firearms)
- Heavy Melee Attack: Right-Click (for melee weapons)
- Reload: R (requires compatible ammo in inventory)
