This guide will cover your initial descent into the Depths in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time during Chapter 2.
At the end of Chapter 1 of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you would ride on top of the Bone Dragon, Skelegon. This would take you to your present location. Currently, your mission is to search for the Cog.

Depths Guide For Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
Approach and Enter the Depths
Once you arrive in this new world, a short cutscene plays out initially. Rem will ask you to destroy the cog and save the world. Once the cutscene finishes, you will start the ‘Leap of a Thousand Years’ Story Quest.
Your first objective will be to simply proceed forward. As you approach the depths, you will meet Edward, prompting another cutscene to play out. Once that is over, turn left and go down the slope to enter the depths.
This will start another cutscene, where you meet a new character, Shadow Girl. This culminates in an epic clash between Skelegon and this new entity. Edward proceeds to jump into the Depths, and you follow him afterwards.

Investigating the Tower in Ginormosia
In the resulting fall, Skelegon seems to have separated from the party. However, before locating Skelegon, you hear voices coming from a nearby tower and decide to investigate that first.
Along the way, you will likely encounter two groups of Sandzards. Of course, the rest of the world is open for you to explore as well, but we will be focusing on the main story for now.
Once you’re close enough to the quest marker, another cutscene plays out. The tower can talk and introduce itself to be Googlina. Fortunately, Googlina has a sharp eye and locates Skelegon for you. Additionally, you also receive a map of the West Dryridge Desert Area.
