You’ll start with a 1-star rating, and you can raise that up to 5 stars.

You will unlock the Island Rating feature after Chapter 3 ends. From then on, you can start improving your island rating by removing debris wherever you find it. However, clearing some of the debris will require the help of buddies. So make sure to recruit as many buddies as you can to ensure that you can remove debris from your island and improve its rating.
Another easy way to improve the Island Rating is to craft and place furniture all around the island. Signs, benches, decorations, and pathways are great ways to not only make the island feel more aesthetic but also increase its rating. However, if you’re looking to get the island to a 5-star rating, you’ll need to do the following:
- Clear all debris
- Build at least four kinds of infrastructure
- Complete the Gallery
- Upgrade your house at least twice
- Make at least one farm
