In this guide, we shall go over how to give items to teammates in Elden Ring Nightreign so you can trade items.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a fast-paced action rogue-like set in the Soulsborne universe. The game features much of the same gameplay loop you saw in Elden Ring: collect gear, kill enemies, acquire runes, level up, beat bosses – rinse and repeat. This loop is now turned into short 40-60 minute runs, and gear can make or break a run.
Throughout each run, you’ll pick up a ton of items. These items all grant stat boosts and passives, allowing you to become stronger and be better prepared for the boss you face at the end of the day. If you’re the type to split into groups early on to collect the loot and then regroup, then you’ll often pick up something that might be of use to your teammate. For instance, you may find an Albinauric Bow and could pick it up for your teammate. You then run across the map to regroup, only to discover that the game does not have a built-in trade system to give items to teammates directly.

As stated earlier, Elden Ring Nightreign does not have a built-in trading system. Instead, if you wish to share items with your friends, you’ll have to simply discard them. To do so, follow the steps given below:
- Once you’ve collected an item that may be of interest to a teammate, head over to them. Open your inventory by pressing the ESC key if on PC. If on consoles, the prompt to do so is Options on PlayStation and Start on Xbox.
- Use the arrow keys (or mouse if on PC) to select the item you wish to give, and discard it. You can do so by pressing the – key on PC, the Square button on PlayStation, and X on Xbox.
- The item will then drop onto the floor, and your teammate can then pick it up to use it. If your teammate wishes to give you an item, they have to follow the same steps.
