Grow a Garden has an array of game mechanics, tools, and items that players can enjoy. One of the most sought-after items in the game is pets. Pets are not just cosmetic companions but also affect your gaming experience. More specifically, they offer buffs and passive abilities that enhance your crops.
There are various tiers of pets (some of them are event-specific). The more they level up, the better their passive abilities become. This article will help you level up your Grow a Garden pets fast.
How To Level Up Your Grow a Garden Pets
Leveling up your pets is essential in Grow a Garden. Pets’ passive skills (such as crop growth speed, mutation chance, and crop value boosts) get stronger as they level up. Let’s look at how you can level them up fast.
Feed Pets Crops or Fruits
The first thing is to feed your pets. Remember, if their hunger bar goes to zero, they stop ageing and leveling up. To feed your pets, equip a crop or fruit from your inventory, approach the pet in your garden, and select “Feed.” A full hunger bar allows the pet to gain XP over time. As pets gain XP, they age, which directly correlates with their level
Use The Owl
Another way to quickly level up your pets is by using the Owl pet. In Grow a Garden, Owls come in three variants – The Owl (Mythical Pet), The Night Owl (Divine Pet), and The Blood Owl (Divine Pet). All three help your existing pets gain XP fast and level them up. Here are their abilities:
- Owl: Boosts all active pets’ XP gain by approximately 0.20 XP per second. This bonus increases by 0.01 XP per second per age level as the Owl levels up.
- Night Owl: Boosts all active pets’ XP gain by approximately 0.22 – 0.25 XP per second.
- Blood Owl: Boosts all active pets’ XP gain by approximately 0.50 XP per second.
Note: The three aforementioned pets were only available during the Lunar Glow Event 2025 and Blood Moon Event 2025, which have now ended. You can still acquire these pets through trading. However, trading carries risk as well. So trade only if you completely trust the other player.
