Elden Ring Nightreign, which was released in May, is exhilarating and infuriating players in equal measure. Over the last few days, players have had a significant amount of praise and criticism for the game. FromSoftware has, of course, already begun work on patches to address the issues that players have faced.
In the meantime, however, there are measures you can take to improve your own experience in the game. Here are the five best mods you can download for Elden Ring Nightreign.

1. Seamless Co-Op
Of the many things players want from Elden Ring Nightreign, the option to play as a duo is the most prevalent. As it stands, you can only play Nightreign by yourself or with two other players. This poses challenges for many.
With this mod, you can play with your friends in both two-player and three-player lobbies. The mod is currently in its alpha state and will receive updates over time.

2. Unlock FPS
This mod does exactly what its name suggests. It unlocks the frame cap for Nightreign. Simple, but effective. Elden Ring Nightreign is normally capped at 60 frames per second. For players with high-end computers, it can be irritating to have the game’s performance limited by the game itself.
This mod not only removes the frame cap but also lets you set a custom max FPS limit. It also unlocks the monitor refresh rate. Finally, this mod is compatible with the Seamless Co-op mod.
3. Performance Boost
The appropriately named “Performance boost for potato pc” mod does its job just right. Some players have the problem of the game not running properly on lower-end PCs.
This mod can fix such them by removing shadows, grass, etc. from the game. It is sure to be a great addition for budget setups.
4. Offline Launcher Without EAC
Nightreign makes use of Easy Anti-Cheat, which serves as a barrier to cheating and hacking in multiplayer games. Usually, a feature like this would be a good thing. However, when it comes to modded gameplay, it acts as a major hindrance.
This mod allows you to launch the game while offline without having to manually do so. It also allows you to deactivate Easy Anti-Cheat, letting you use other mods as well.
5. Fun is Allowed
FromSoftware games are notorious for their difficulty. In fact, this difficulty is what has made these games so beloved to so many. However, in its current state, Nightreign has gone beyond being difficult to being simply unbalanced. The game is balanced around the assumption that three players are attempting the challenge.
If a player tries to play alone, while the game does slightly adjust the difficulty, it is nowhere near enough to make for a remotely even playing field. Even FromSoftware themselves have acknowledged this issue, and are working on patches to adjust the game’s balance. In the meantime, this mod has already brought results, strengthening you and giving you more options to work with. This makes the game significantly more enjoyable to play solo.
