Deltarune Chapter 2’s secret boss, Spamton NEO, offers two different rewards depending on how he is beaten. They are the Dealmaker and Puppet Scarf, which can be equipped to Ralsei. The Dealmaker focuses on defense, magic, and Dark Dollar gain, making it suitable for players on a peaceful run. On the other hand, the Puppet Scarf drastically increases attack damage at the cost of magic.
This article will outline how you can obtain the Puppet Scarf and the best Ralsei build for it.
How To Get the Puppet Scarf in Deltarune
To receive the Puppet Scarf, defeat Spamton NEO in Deltarune Chapter 2 by fighting him directly. If you defeat the boss by ACTing, you will receive the Dealmaker. On a normal route, you can fight Spamton NEO by completing a sidequest for him. If you happen to be on the Weird Route, Spamton NEO will appear as the final boss of Chapter 2.
The mission includes buying a KeyGen from him, retrieving an Empty Disk from a machine in the Mansion’s basement, loading Spamton into the disk, and placing it back into the machine. Once inside, Spamton transforms into Spamton NEO. Fight and beat him conventionally to receive the Puppet Scarf.

Is the Puppet Scarf Good for Ralsei?
The Puppet Scarf is an ideal weapon for Ralsei if you are aiming to make him an offense-oriented party member for a non-pacifist run of the game. This is because the Puppet Scarf grants +10 attack and -6 magic. If you are on a pacifist run, the Puppet Scarf is counterintuitive as it will reduce the effectiveness of Ralsei’s healing. Therefore, use the Puppet Scarf if you are ready to forsake Ralsei’s healing effectiveness in favor of increasing your party’s offensive potential.
Wielding the Puppet Scarf, Ralsei’s attack damage becomes similar to Kris and Susie’s. However, you will have to gather and use healing items more often as his Healing Prayer will become less effective. Additionally, the Puppet Scarf will be the only reward you can get from Spamton NEO while on the Weird Route, as a peaceful conclusion to the fight is not possible.
The best armor options to pair with the Puppet Scarf are Jevilstail and Royal Pin. Jevilstail provides +2 to attack, defense, and magic, and is obtained by defeating Jevil with ACTing. If you missed obtaining Jevilstail, Royal Pin is a suitable armor that adds +3 to defense and +1 to magic.
