Sweet Cap’n Cakes is the second boss battle in the second chapter of Deltarune. This round is all about prediction and timing your moves. You will face two different rounds in this battle with hordes of obstacles shot in your path. Your goal is to avoid them by moving in either direction and surviving.

Round 1

As soon as you encounter this battle, you are straightaway put inside a cube. The boss begins to direct obstacles towards you from each direction. The placement of the tube-like obstacles differs, with them either leaving the centre or the sides free for you to shift towards.
You have to be really quick with your movements and anticipate exactly where the next tube could be coming from. While you may see your entire avatar on the screen, you have to ensure that the heart is not touched by any of the obstacles. It is okay if the obstacles touch your character.
Round 2

After a wave of obstacles, the round ends with you being guided to the next block. This is where you will meet the other two bosses, who form the Sweet Cap’n Cakes musical trio. This group is one of the last standing resistances against the Giga Queen.
Due to a wrong assumption, they think that we are part of the Queen’s crew. This is when they challenge us to a battle. The battle consists of a heart that we have to move around to avoid the obstacles. Musical notes will fly towards us through the speakers, which we need to avoid.
Wave 1 (Sweet)
The first wave of this battle involves musical notes flying across the screen. Three robots on top will occasionally shoot some ball-like figures at us, which we need to avoid as well. The first wave is relatively slower and easier to navigate around. Once Sweet realizes that he doesn’t want to dance with bad guys, he stops with the musical notes. This ends the first wave.
Wave 2 (Cap’N)
In this wave, fast, trippy, wavy notes will shoot across the screen from both the left and right sides. Due to the afterimage generated by the movements of these notes, navigating around becomes a bit trickier. Towards the end of this wave, some musical notes will shoot across, after which the wave will end.
Wave 3 (K_K)
The last wave is a quick battle with all three obstacles – the musical notes, waves, and balls shooting at us together in a simultaneous fashion. This round is shorter compared to the other two rounds. Once you navigate your way through the obstacles, the wave comes to an end.
All three lose interest in dancing with us. Towards the end, Kris begins to dance, which sparks an interest in the trio. After that, all the characters dance together.
Tips:
In the initial stage of round 2, only Kris will be able to dance. Eventually, get Susie and Ralsei to dance as well. Only a single member of the trio can be targeted at a time. Once all three unlock the ability to dance, use them to dance and beat all three members. This will end the fight altogether.
