Steal a Baddie is a tycoon simulator on Roblox inspired by Steal a Character and includes elements from the incremental sim genre. Players generate in-game money by acquiring characters called “Baddies” by either buying them from the runway on the map or stealing them from the base of another player. Baddies in your base will generate money, or C$, which can be used to upgrade and buy more of them.
This article will serve as a beginner’s guide to Steal a Baddie. We will explain the core mechanics of the game, such as how to steal, how to upgrade, and more.
Steal a Baddie: Roblox Guide
The main objective of the game is to increase your income by acquiring Baddies. You will start off with a nominal amount of money, and you can get the cheapest available one from the runway. Different ones cost different amounts, and the more expensive they are, the more income they will generate per second. Your base has a limited number of stations to place the Baddies, so be judicious while placing them. You can always fire them to make room.
Let us explain everything in the UI, as seen in the photo above, to help you better understand the game.
- Money/C$: At the top of the screen, you can see the amount of in-game money you have. The number in green font below it is the amount of money your base is generating per second (C$/S).
- Index: You can see all of the characters you have unlocked here. You get milestone rewards by unlocking more Baddies.
- Rebirth: This is the Rebirth menu, the main way to progress in the game. After you meet certain requirements, such as having specific Baddies in your base, you will be able to Rebirth. It clears your in-game money and all characters, but it gives you a multiplier boost to income generation and unlocks items at the Tools Shop.
- G$: This is the secondary currency in the game. It unlocks after a while. Use the purple button at the back of your base, labeled “G$ Exchange,” to get this resource. Using the button will convert your C$ to G$. You can choose to convert a fixed amount or a percentage. G$ is used to upgrade Baddies to boost income generation. G$ does not get reset during Rebirths.
- Server Luck: This multiplier affects the rare Baddie spawn rate.
How To Play Steal a Baddie
- Acquire a Baddie:
- You can buy one from the ramp that runs through the center of the map. This is all based on luck, and you need C$, so it can be time-consuming.
- Stealing is the best way to get a Baddie. Wait for another player’s base to unlock, and if you are lucky, you can snag a high-valued character. However, you have to carry it to your base to steal it. If the owner comes and attacks you during the stealing process, you will drop the Baddie.
- Lock your base: Stepping on the red button at the back of your base will lock it for some time. You will have to step on it again to re-lock the base. This is the primary way to fend off other players and stop them from stealing.
- Stop a thief: If someone is stealing from your base, you can attack the thief with a bat or another item. This will return your character.
- Collect Money: To collect money, you have to step onto the green blocks in front of the Baddies in your base.
- Upgrade: After a while, you will be able to upgrade your Baddies. To do so, you must first exchange some C$ for G$. Upgrading your characters can dramatically increase their income generation.
Do not get overly attached to your characters. Your eventual goal is to Rebirth and progress. This will wipe your base and reset your money. However, do note that you get better multipliers every time you Rebirth. So it is recommended to do so as fast as possible.
