Go Fest 2025 is bringing in a lot of new and exciting Pokemon to Pokemon GO. Let us discover the must-catch ones during Go Fest 2025.

GO Fest 2025 has finally arrived. While players in Osaka, Paris, and New Jersey will have an experience of a lifetime with live events, players from the rest of the world are also in for a treat.
This event is filled to the brim with exciting releases and debuts. In this guide, we will discuss the five must-catch Pokemon during Go Fest 2025.

The 5 Must-Catch Pokemon During Go Fest 2025

1. Shiny Frigibax
This Dragon-/Ice-type and its final evolution, Baxcalibur, is a top-tier choice for raid and PvP enthusiasts. Bagging its rare, Shiny variant calls for some major bragging rights. In short, you are covered in both the looks and competitive departments if you catch the Shiny Frigibax.
2. Shiny Jangmo-o

Seasoned Pokemon GO players know how hard it is to find a base variant Jangmo-o. Catching its Shiny version would make you the trainer of an ultra-rare Pokemon. Moreover, its evolution, Kommo-o, is one of the Dragon-/Fighting-type critters in its generation.
3. Shiny Volcanion
Many of us have only been dreaming of catching a Pokemon that is both Mythical and Shiny. That dream can now become true with the Shiny Volcanion. This variant is being released globally. However, note that you require Special Research to obtain this critter.
4. Shiny Carbink
This one will have limited availability. There are only two Fairy/Rock critters for now: Carbink and Diance. Few critters will ever be as exclusive as a Shiny Carbink.
5. Shiny Flabebe (All Colors)

All available colors of Shiny Flabebe were previously region-locked. However, that changes with Go Fest 2025, and this is your best bet for bagging all the variants. It is safe to assume such an opportunity would not be available anytime soon after this event.
Free vs Paid Version of GO Fest 2025

Attending GO Fest 2025 is free. However, there is a ticket available for $15 that provides additional benefits that the free version doesn’t provide. Here is a comparison between the two:
The free version perks are the following (from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm local time):
- Surprise encounters in GO Snapshot.
- Lure Module Duration increased by one hour.
- Party Play Duration is increased from three to eight hours.
On the other hand, the ticket yields a lot of perks. From 10:00 am to 6:00 pm each day, ticket-holders enjoy the following rewards and bonuses:
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon.
- Special Research encounter with Volcanion.
- Branching Special Research paths: Sword or Shield.
- Different Pokemon are attracted to your incense.
- Hourly Global Challenges with special rewards (Saturday & Sunday).
- Habitat-themed Collection Challenges.
- Three surprise encounters from GO Snapshot per day.
On the other hand, from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm local time:
- Buddy Pokémon earn more hearts for all friendship activities.
- Up to nice free Raid Passes daily from spinning Gym Photo Discs.
- Can open up to 40 Gifts per day.
- Up to six Special Trades per day.
- Half Stardust cost for trades.
If you can afford it, buying the ticket is worth it. This way, your chances of “catching ‘em all” drastically increase. However, if you want to opt for the free version, it is beneficial as long as you are having fun.
