You can enchant a shovel with abilities like:

- Haste – Faster digging
- Control – Easier precision strikes
- Abundance – Increased drop chance on bonus items

How To Get Enchantment Tome in Dig
There are two main ways to get Enchantment Tomes in the game. One is free but random, the other is reliable but expensive.
1. Dig Them Up
The first method is to simply dig and hope for the best. Enchantment Tomes can appear as bonus loot while you’re digging up regular items. They drop randomly, just like crates. The chances are low but not zero. Here is how you can improve your odds:
- Equip a shovel with the Magnet enchantment
- Use the Abundant enchant if available
- Dig in areas with higher-tier loot pools (Cinder Cavern works well)
This method is slow and luck-based, but it’s free, perfect for beginners or players who don’t mind grinding.
2. Buy From the Dark Wizard
If you’re tired of RNG, you can buy Enchantment Tomes directly from an NPC… but there’s a catch. The Dark Wizard sells tomes for $15,000 each, and he only appears in specific conditions. Follow this guide to know more about Wizard Tower in Dig. The requirements are as follows:
- Must be Level 30 or higher
- Visit during Summer nights in-game
- Go to the Wizard Tower in Rooftop Woodlands (coords: 4401, 226, -628)
- Knock on the wooden door to summon the Dark Wizard
- Interact and buy the tome for $15,000
It’s not cheap, especially in the early game, but it’s a guaranteed way to get what you need.
Enchantment Tomes are one of the most important tools in Dig once you’re past the beginner stage. They let you customize your shovel with powerful buffs, helping you earn more, dig faster, and collect rare loot with less effort.
