Mount Jawa is an adventure exploration experience on Roblox. Your objective is to reach the summit of the titular mountain. Inspired by Indonesian cultural practices, the trek quickly becomes a matter of survival as you start seeing paranormal visions.

In Mount Jawa, you have to navigate through several obstacles, manage your stats, and dodge ghosts to finally reach the top of the mountain. This guide will walk you through some of the core mechanics of the game, which can be especially helpful for beginners.

Mount Jawa Roblox Guide

The game is categorized as an exploration game on Roblox. While the path to the top of Mount Jawa is pretty linear, there are certain points where you will have to retrace your steps and find an alternative route. In the beginning, your main worry would be not falling while doing the obbys. Later on, you have to worry about ghosts. Before we get into all of that, let us look at the controls and the HUD.

Movement: You use the standard movement keys in this game. WASD on a PC keyboard.

Jump: Spacebar to jump. It is a fairly short jump, so be careful while going over gaps.

Inventory: To equip items in the inventory, you can either press the corresponding number (1 for Torch, 3 for Water Bottle) or press on the item. Alternatively, you can use the backtick (`) to open the inventory.

Use Item: To use the item, such as drinking water, you have to equip the water bottle from the inventory and press the left mouse button. Same principle with the torch.

Health Bar: The red bar on the bottom left is your health. It decreases when you fall from great heights. Ghosts also damage you. There are checkpoints in the game, so if you die, you will respawn at the last checkpoint.

Thirst Bar: The blue bar at the bottom left indicates your thirst. You have to manage this stat while climbing the mountain. Use the water bottle to replenish the bar.

Settings: You can access the settings menu on the left. Here is a breakdown of all of the options:
- Hide Player Tags: You can hide all player tags to make the game look clean.
- Hide GUI: Hide all your inventory icons.
- Stop Music: You can toggle this button to stop the eerie music. While it is not recommended as it adds to the spooky atmosphere, you can always turn it off to concentrate on the game.

How To Fill the Water Bottle in Mount Jawa

The water bottle is very important for your survival. It can be used any time during the game to replenish your Thirst Bar. However, your bottle has a limited capacity. Every time you take a drink, the quantity of water will reduce, and you can quickly run out without refills. Follow these steps to fill the water in the bottle:

Locate taps on the trail while playing.
Equip your bottle from the inventory by pressing 3.
Stand near the tap as shown in the photo above to fill the water.
The water level in the bottle should rise automatically.

Mount Jawa Tips and Tricks: How To Avoid Ghosts

Ghosts will start randomly appearing on the path after night falls. You should have your torch equipped and turn it on at all times. There are two types of ghost sightings:
- Stationary Ghosts: These will appear and fade away from time to time. Sometimes they may appear just ahead of your player character. You will get damaged if you touch them.
- Ghosts that move/chase: Sometimes a ghost will appear and chase you. Keep running in the opposite direction till they stop to avoid damage.

Sometimes, you will get teleported to other spots that have plenty of ghosts and monks doing rituals. Try to avoid as many as you can and move around till you get teleported back to the trail.

If you have lost your bearings, look for the wooden signs. They are placed intermittently throughout the game to help you progress.

The obstacles will get harder as you climb. Be patient and take your time.

Do not jump unnecessarily. Especially on the loose white ladders.

If you manage to get past all of the ghosts, the night will pass, and you will eventually reach the summit. The game will reward you with a card certifying you as someone who has climbed Mount Jawa.
