A new digging and exploration game has taken over the Roblox community. Dig, by DIG Development, has garnered over 6.2 million visits and currently boasts an active player base of over 38K. The game has a lot of unique mechanics to enhance your digging experience. One of them is the process of enhancing your shovel. This gives it special stat-boosting effects. Let’s learn how to get it.

How To Enchant Your Shovel in Dig

To enchant your shovel, you need to head to the Enchantment Altar with Enchantment Tomes. Follow this step-by-step guide:

Get Enchantment Tomes

To enter the Enchantment Altar, you need Enchantment Tomes. Dig anywhere for a 1/250 chance to find Enchantment Tomes. Alternatively, at level 30 during nighttime in the Summer season, purchase tomes for $15,000 from the Dark Wizard at the Odd Tower in Rooftop Woodlands.

Locate the Enchantment Altar

Bring up the map, activate the POI Headers, and find Fernhill Forest. Notice a brief road into a mountain between Rooftop Woodlands and Fox Town – Set waypoints to get there (Use an ATV or fast car to speed up travel). Once inside, find the elevator, pay Jim Diamond NPC $1000 to get it moving, and wait for the timer to stop beeping, then descend to Cinder Cavern Floor 1.

Follow blue mushrooms through the cave to giant blue mushrooms behind stone rubble for Azure Hollow. The Enchantment Altar will be there.

Enchant the Shovel

You need to equip an Enchantment Tome and select the desired shovel. Hold “E” at the altar to apply a random enchantment (e.g., Lucky or Strong).

Each enchantment overwrites the previous one and grants a 10-minute +0.5 Luck blessing buff, stackable up to +5 or more with multiple tomes. Repeat the process if aiming for a specific enchantment.

Once you’re done enchanting, use an Emergency Flare (if you have one) to safely leave Cinder Cavern quickly. If you don’t, you’ll need to return the way you came through the elevator to the surface. You can combine the lucky buff with some extreme weather events like Meteor Showers (you’ll get to dig for some rare loot right after, too).
