This article will be a quick guide to every objective in The Embers Still Smolder main quest of Diablo 4 Season 9.
The Embers Yet Smolder is the opening section of Diablo 4 Season 9. It is the start of a lengthy questline and a perfect way for returning players to learn the ropes and understand the new content. Your Wanderers will learn more about new Horadric Spells and a few minor changes to how dungeons work.

Completing the Ember Still Smolder Quest in Diablo 4 Season 9
Here are all the objectives for The Ember Still Smolder quest:
- Find Bryona in Cerrigar, around the Scosglen region, to start the quest.
- Rendezvous with Bryona over at Firebreak Manor.
- Go south and look for survivors.
- Eliminate every enemy you encounter.
- Reach Eldhaime Keep.
- Enter the keep and pick up the Horadric Wayfinder.
- Go to the Burning Keep.
- Enter your first Horadric Strongroom.
- Defeat all of the enemies inside.
- Head back to Cerrigar and speak to Bryona.
This opening for a new season in Diablo 4 is a welcome change of pace. Your Wanderer will be tasked to find Bryona in Cerrigar, but your arrival is most opportune considering they are in need of aid. Later, you will head south and meet up with Bryona once again and ask how you can help around. Bryona will ask you to head further south and see if there are any survivors.
This objective involves you riding around to each objective marker to search for survivors and fighting any enemy you come across. Once you complete this objective, you will be directed to the Eldhaime Keep and recover a strange artifact known as the Horadric Wayfinder.
The next part of the Embers Yet Smolder quest is to enter the Burning Keep, where you will choose one of the three shrines. Time is of the essence in this objective since you have to kill all demons before time runs out. After killing all the enemies, return to Cerrigar and speak to Bryona one last time to wrap up the quest.
