Find out whether the free-to-play multiplayer shooter Mecha Break is available on PS5 and explore the possibility of a future release on the platform.
Mecha Break, the free-to-play multiplayer online mecha shooter, is out now. Players take on the role of pilots controlling massive mech robots called Strikers. Each mecha comes with specialized skills tailored for unique roles such as assault, melee, sniper, reconnaissance, or support.
Suit up your preferred mecha and dive into high-octane battles and dominate the land and skies. Team up with your friends in different modes, such as 3v3 or 6v6, or even a unique PvPvE extraction mode.
With the open beta turned out to be a success, players are already excited about the mecha shooter. Developed by Amazing Seasun Games, the title launched on July 1/July 2, 2025, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. However, Mecha Break is not available on PS5 at launch, which has left many PlayStation players concerned and worried.
Will Mecha Break Come to PS5?
At launch, Mecha Break is only available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, leaving PS5 players wondering if they will get to experience this futuristic multiplayer mech shooter. Fortunately, a PS5 version is planned and being developed. When Mecha Break was revealed during the Game Awards 2023, the trailer listed Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox as the available platforms.
However, when the release date was later announced, only Steam and Xbox were mentioned. This does not mean the PS5 version has been dropped—it is just coming later. So far, the developers have not confirmed a release date for PS5.
While replying to the comments on their official X (formerly Twitter) account posts, the developers have shared a few updates about the PlayStation version.
When some users questioned about the PlayStation release, the developers responded as follows:
“Other platforms to be announced after launch :)” – Mecha Break (June 7)
“We’ll have more info about the PlayStation version later in the year.” – Mecha Break (July 1)
These statements confirm that the developers are actively working on a PlayStation version, and more details will be shared sometime after launch.
