In this guide, we’ll take a look at Favor Tokens in Diablo 4 and how they work. What can you get in exchange for them?
Diablo 4 introduced a battle pass system not too long ago, known as Reliquaries. There are often multiple Reliquaries to choose from in the game, with one of them being unlocked and free at all times. Inside each Reliquary will be cosmetic items that you can unlock with the help of your Favor Tokens. So, you’ll want to collect as many of these tokens as possible to unlock the different appearance items from the Reliquary menu. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can maximize your Favor Tokens in Diablo 4.
How To Get Favor Tokens in Diablo 4
You will earn Favor Tokens by killing foes in combat or completing quests in the game. Each kill or quest you complete will earn you some points, which go toward earning your next Favor Token. You won’t be able to see how many points you get for performing each of these activities, though. However, you can check how far you’ve progressed to unlocking your next Favor Token. Also, you will get a notification on the screen whenever you earn a new Favor Token, which will remind you that you can now spend those at the Reliquary.
Increasing the difficulty settings of the game will help you earn points for Favor Tokens quicker. Similarly, taking down Elites or bosses will lead to more points than simply mowing down standard enemies. If you’re unable to play in higher difficulty settings, focus on completing quests, as they’ll provide more points and ensure you unlock Favor Tokens fast.
To check your progress to the next Favor Token, open the in-game menu and open the Reliquaries tab. Under that, you will be able to see how many points you still need to get to the next Favor Token.

How To Use Favor Tokens in Diablo 4
The sole purpose of Favor Tokens is to unlock cosmetics from the Reliquary system in the game. So, there’s no point in holding onto or hoarding the tokens for alternate use. However, before you can use Favor Tokens inside one of the specific battle passes, you’ll need to unlock them by spending Platinum. One or more of these might be unlocked for free, so there’s always some place where you can spend your Favor Tokens, even if you don’t have any Platinum to unlock the other ones.
