The Blood Moon update is live in Dig Roblox. Here’s everything new, including bosses, charms, prismatic items, and how to fight the direwolf.
The first major content drop for Dig Roblox has arrived. The Blood Moon update brings limited-time events, new bosses, fresh items, and much-needed balance changes. Here’s a full breakdown of everything added in the Blood Moon update so you know what to expect.
Blood Moon Event Overview
The Blood Moon event will run until July 12th, and every 6 hours, a Blood Moon will rise across all servers. When it appears, you’ll see:
- A red sky and dripping moon visuals
- A 3-headed dire wolf boss in Cinder Cave
- Blood Moon-exclusive items and digging rewards
- 20% increased chance of digging up items with the Clawed mutation
You’ll also encounter Travelling Merchant with:
- 8 new charms
- 1 new shovel
- A reroll stock option
New Boss: Direwolf
The Direwolf is a massive 3-headed boss that spawns in Cinder Cave during the Blood Moon. It has 55,000 HP, deals burn damage, and gives:
- Dire Scepters (100% drop rate)
- Fang Shovel (20%)
- Blood Moon Chests (4–7 guaranteed)
- Stickers & Cosmetic Items (up to 15% drop rates)
Fang Shovel (Boss Drop)
- 8 Strength (doubles during Blood Moon)
- 25% chance to dig up Clawed items
New Shovel: Beast Slayer
Sold by the Travelling Merchant, the Beast Slayer is a high-tier combat shovel for boss hunters:
- 105 Boss Damage
- +1 Control, +2 Haste (with Ninja Headband synergy)
- Passive: Strong hits against bosses can summon a laser dealing 50% of your total boss damage
New Item Rarity: Prismatic
A new rarity above Divine, Prismatic items are now available and can be dug up or received via Blood Moon Chests. This includes:
- 7 new Prismatic items
- New shovel in Cinder Caverns
New Charms Added
Some of the newly added charms include:
- Golden Heart: Legendary items drain 40% less health
- Boss Apparatus: +8% Boss Damage
- Momentum Bands: +0.75 Control per hit
- Vat of Dye: 45% chance to color an item red/blue/green
- Spiky Barrel: Reflects 50% damage when hit by bosses
- Magnet on a Stick: 15% increased chance to dig loot items
- Pebble Pow: Cosmetic charm that cheers you on
New Areas and Buildings
- Combat Guild added to Copper Mesa
- Observation Building added to Copper Mesa
- More lore entries added to Alona Jungle’s Journal
System and UI Improvements
- Added Dig button for mobile
- Improved mobile vehicle controls
- Expanded inventory UI for mobile and console
Balance Changes and Fixes
- Nerfed Gnome sell price and abundance
- Nerfed Gold Nugget sell price
- Buffed Prismatic Domino Crown
- Haste Coil price: $5,000 → $8,000
- Ninja Headband: Price up to $35,000, now synergizes with Beast Slayer
- Vision Goggles price dropped to $5,000
- Boss Horns now have server-wide cooldowns
- Fisch, Celestial Crystal, Pot of Gold, and Tanzanite are now easier to obtain
- All shovels in the equipment bag are now sorted by items dug
Moreover, a new code has been added. Redeem ‘isurvived’ for a free title, 10 blood moon crates, and a 1hr +10 luck boost.
