Diablo 4 Season 9 looks to indulge in the power fantasy elements of the game, giving you ridiculously powerful spells that shred through enemies. These powerful spells, called the Horadric Spells, come in different types, ensuring you always have something that complements your build. Even if you don’t, however, you can now customize these spells using Horadric Arcanas.
Horadric Arcanas are spell customizations that boost and modify your Horadric spells in Diablo 4. These are some of the most potent items in the game, and are not so surprisingly just as rare. Finding Arcanas is a hassle, and if you’re looking to get your hands on some, this guide is for you.

Horadric Arcanas are a random loot drop inside the new Horadric Strongrooms in Diablo 4 Season 9. Since there’s a lot of RNG involved in Diablo 4’s loot, you may have to make quite a few runs before you can get your hands on one.
In order to obtain the Horadric Arcana, enter any dungeon in the game that has the Horadric Strongroom as an affix. Once you’re inside the dungeon, your character will start glowing purple as you approach the Strongroom. Kill all the monsters in the area, and you can then use the Horadric Portal to enter the Horadric Strongroom.
Once you’re in the Horadric Strongroom, you’ll then have to select the pillars to determine the Strongroom conditions. Select the ones that you wish to play, and go forth with the mini-dungeon and complete it. Use AOE attacks to wipe out enemies and get the highest rank possible. The higher the rank, the greater the rewards.
Complete the dungeon, and it will then drop the Horadric Cache. Open this chest and you’ll get your rewards, with a chance of obtaining the Horadric Arcanas. Take note that you cannot auto-pickup this item. You will have to manually pick it up. It may be labeled as Potent Alloy, which you may be tempted to discard. Do not do so and pick it up.
