The Grapple Boat update is live in SharkBite 2 and introduces the new Fin Reaper Boat and RPG Launcher weapon to the game. The update dropped on July 4, days after the Hatch event. Players can now spend some Shark Teeth, the in-game currency, to buy the newly added boat and weapon. The RPG Launcher is relatively cheap and can be super helpful for beginners as well.

This SharkBite 2 guide will explain the new items added in the Grapple Boat update.

Everything You Need To Know About the SharkBite 2 Grapple Boat Update

As mentioned, the Grapple Boat update introduces two new items to SharkBite 2:

  • RPG Launcher
  • Fin Reaper Boat

You can find both items in the shop. Currently, they are also in the featured section. Without further ado, let us look at the stats for the new items, including their costs.

The Fin Reaper Boat is the latest boat in SharkBite 2. It looks like the in-game lifeboat but has a dark metallic finish with red and white accents. Here is a breakdown of its cost, speed, agility, and size:

As the name of the update implies, the Fin Reaper Boat has a grappling hook attached to it by default. Players controlling this boat have the option to use the grappling hook to attach the entire boat to other objects on the map, such as other boats and sharks. This can be especially helpful if you are armed and ready to chase the shark during the round. The grappling hook can also come in handy if you lose your engine. Just grapple onto another boat, and it can tow you around the map.

To use the grappling hook, you must unequip any weapons in your inventory. The hook only does 1 HP damage if you hit the shark, so use it solely for grappling, not as a main damage weapon. Press LMB to grapple onto the surface you are looking at. Once you have grappled the shark, you can switch to other weapons. The hook will remain attached.

RPG Launcher

The SharkBite 2 Grapple Boat update also brings the RPG Launcher to the shop. It costs 1,200 Shark Teeth and is perfect for beginners looking to dish out a lot of damage without breaking the bank. Here is a breakdown of its stats:

The low cost of the weapon makes it a good starting option for players who are tight on money. The RPG Launcher has good accuracy, allowing you to keep some distance from the shark. This helps you survive during the early stages of the game when you don’t yet have access to sturdy boats.
