College Football 26 improves on many of its gameplay mechanics when compared to its predecessor. You can now play as a coach, guiding your team from the sidelines to victory. Or, you can take on the role of a fresh high school graduate learning the ropes of playing football in college. The game offers you plenty of freedom to approach it as you please. Speaking of freedom, EA has also ensured that you can choose whether you want to solely play offense and skip defensive plays entirely.

However, the option that lets you do so might not be apparent to new players. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can focus solely on playing offense in College Football 26.

When you choose to play offense only, the game will simulate defensive plays on your behalf. You can toggle this option on when selecting any play. Simply press L3 to open up the Super Sim menu. Next, go to Play Options, and you’ll find several settings to choose from. These include:

  • Play All Offense
  • Play All Defense
  • Play Full Game
  • Play Key Moments

If you want to skip defense plays entirely, simply choose the Play All Offense option. The game’s AI will simulate all defensive plays once you back out of the menu. You will only regain control when it’s time for you to make an offensive play.

However, keep in mind that just because you’ve delegated defensive plays to the game doesn’t mean the opposing team won’t be able to score. They can still get past your defenses and score a touchdown from time to time. Choosing a team with high defensive capabilities is the best way to reduce the chances of your opponent scoring frequently.

If the defensive plays feel too challenging at first, you can also try lowering the game difficulty. This will help you learn the ropes without facing too much of a threat from the opposing side. In that case, choose Play Full Game from the Super Sim menu. This puts you in complete control during a match with no simulations.
