Grow a Garden recently introduced a host of new pets in the game as part of the ongoing Prehistoric Event Update (July 5 – July 12, 2025). Pets are not just cosmetic companions but also provide buffs to your crops and enhance your gardening experience. One of the new pets in the game is the Brontosaurus. It is a Mythical-tier pet. Let’s find out how to get it.

Grow a Garden Brontosaurus Guide

To obtain a Brontosaurus, you need to hatch a Dinosaur Egg or use the DNA Converter. Here are the two primary methods to acquire a Dinosaur Egg:

Method 1

The first method is trading pets with NPC Graham (DNA Converter). Visit Graham at the Dinosaur Egg Stand and equip any non-dinosaur pet. Interact with Graham by pressing “E” and select “Take this Pet” to trade the pet. Wait 60 minutes for the machine to process. You’ll receive either a Dinosaur Egg or, if you trade a rarer pet, a chance at a direct dinosaur pet.

Note: Once you submit the pet, it will be removed from your inventory.

Method 2

The second method is completing Dino Quests. Visit Blaire at the Prehistoric Quest Stand (located opposite Graham). Interact with Blaire by pressing “E” and select “Show me the Quest.” You have to complete one of the three daily quests. Only the middle slot quest rewards a Dinosaur Egg. You can claim your egg after completing the quest.

Note: Since the Brontosaurus is a Mythical pet, it only has a 1% chance of hatching from a Dinosaur Egg. You may need to be prepared to repeat the methods multiple times.

Brontosaurus: Passive Ability

The Brontosaurus is a Mythical pet with a unique passive ability called Giant Incubator:

  • Increases the base size and weight of other pets hatched from eggs by 5.2% per Brontosaurus equipped, with a maximum cap of 30% per egg.
  • This boost does not apply to other Brontosauruses.
  • Larger and heavier pets have more efficient abilities, such as faster cooldowns or improved multipliers, which can enhance gameplay. For example, heavier pets may activate their passive skills more frequently.
