In this guide, we shall go over how to get the Cosmic Anomaly in Diablo 4 Season 9, a spell introduced in Sins of Horadrim.
Diablo 4 has an impressive selection of spells on offer. There are spells for those who prefer to play aggressively, spells for defensive playstyles, spells that do AOE damage, summoning spells, and so much more. There is never a drought for options, and now this is doubly true with Season 9. Diablo 4 Season 9 adds a ton more spells into the mix, and if you love dealing tons of damage, Cosmic Anomaly is the spell for you.
Cosmic Anomaly is a Catalyst-type spell that manifests up to five Anomalies. These Anomalies then emit particles which deal 10,530 damage over 4 seconds. You can activate the spell a second time to command the Anomalies to detonate, dealing 42,135 damage per explosion. This is a ton of damage that will light up your screen and your enemies.
If that wasn’t somehow OP enough, the Cosmic Anomaly can be modified further with Infusions and Arcanas. With the right set of Infusions and Arcanas, you can modify the explosions to clear status effects, inflict Fear, freeze enemies, execute non-bosses, and more. How To Get Cosmic Anomaly in Diablo 4 Season 9
You unlock the Cosmic Anomaly spell in Diablo 4 Season 9 by completing The Unseeable Demands Their Gaze quest. This quest is part of the new Season 9 questline and comes right after the Reopening the Wound quest.
Subsequently, you begin The Unseeable Demands Their Gaze quest by talking to Davish in Cerrigar. Davish will inform you that Bryona has run off to the Horadric Vault, which is where you need to go. You then have to talk to Bryona and collect Donan’s drafts in the area, after which you need to go to a Nightmare Dungeon. Complete the dungeon and acquire the Blood Relic to complete the quest. Once the quest is done, you will have the Cosmic Anomaly spell.
