The Pet Mutation Update went live in Grow a Garden over the weekend, bringing several new dinosaur pets, mutation mechanics, and more. Horsetail is one of the new plants you can grow in the game. It is also an essential crafting ingredient for other plant seeds.

How To Craft Horsetail Seed

Currently, the only way to obtain the Horsetail plant in Grow a Garden is by crafting. You can start the process by walking up to the Cosmetics/Crafting Table beside the Gear Vendor. You cannot buy the seed from the default Seed Shop or get it from any seed pack. Submit the following ingredients to start the crafting process:

1x Stonebite Seed
1x Bamboo Crop
1x Corn Crop

To start crafting, pay 15,000 Sheckles. You can collect the seed after 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can use 199 Robux to instantly get a Horestail without the ingredients.

As of the current patch, you will be able to find all of the ingredients fairly easily. Open the Ancient Seed Packs you get by doing the Dino quests to get Stonebite Seeds. You can find Bamboo and Corn from the seed shop.

Certain pets can also help you get the plant. Red Fox and Raccoon pets steal (duplicate) random plants from other farms on the server. If another player is growing the plant, you stand a chance of getting it. However, the low crafting cost makes it quite easy to obtain without relying on pets. You can double the produce as well with pets such as the Stegosaurus.
