Doreen Green, a.k.a Squirrel Girl, is a beloved character from the Marvel Universe originally remembered for her memetic ability to defeat almost any threat she would face…with the power of squirrels. However, over time, the character has received a lot of development, including going to college. As that part of her history seems to be canon within the Marvel Rivals universe, her age could be speculated to be around 20 or 21 as a college-going student.

Marvel Rivals: How Old Is Squirrel Girl in the Game?
One of the most impactful comics starring Doreen was The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl by Ryan North and Erica Henderson. In that series, Doreen is seen enrolling in and later attending Empire State University. Later on, in the 16th issue of that series, Doreen is shown celebrating her 20th birthday. Near the end of the sequel series – Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Volume 2 – she is still shown to be 20 in issue 47. Since this is the most recent mention of Squirrel Girl’s age, it can be approximated that she is 20 in the current Marvel Universe.
In Marvel Rivals, Squirrel Girl’s lore states that she’s a computer science student at Empire State University. This implies that the game is taking inspiration for the character from The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. As such, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Doreen is 20. Even if some time has passed, it can be speculated that she is no more than 21 at this stage.
That said, there hasn’t been any official confirmation that Doreen is specifically 20. As such, her age can be predicted based on her appearances in other media, but has yet to be officially confirmed.
Squirrel Girl’s History in the Comics
Squirrel Girl was created as a one-off joke character back in 1991. However, she clearly struck a chord with fans as she kept popping up afterward. Her most prominent appearances after her debut were either as a member of the Great Lakes Avengers or as a nanny to Luke Cage and Jessica Jones’s daughter in the pages of New Avengers. Once The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl was published, she was a joke no more and became a bona fide hero in her own right.
