In 99 Nights in the Forest, survival isn’t just about avoiding creatures or watching the day counter; it’s about crafting the right tools to keep going. Whether you’re building a base or prepping for the unknown, the crafting system is your most powerful weapon.
From simple beds to advanced gear like Oil Drills and Teleporters, there’s a lot to make, but it all starts at the Grinder.
How To Start Crafting in 99 Nights in the Forest
Head to the Grinder, found at the Campfire site. Drop items you find in the world (like rocks, logs, or trash) into it to generate Scrap and Wood. Little icons float above objects to show what they’ll break down into.
Once you’ve gathered enough, walk up to the Grinder and interact with it to access the crafting menu.
To unlock better gear, you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench. Higher tiers unlock new recipes.
Crafting Bench Tier 1 Items
