Diablo 4 has a ton of spells, each of which impacts battles in different ways. They all have their quirky abilities, which make them incredibly fun, but their damage output isn’t always up to par. The spells can feel weak at times, and Diablo 4 Season 9 looks to fix this by giving you The Starflux.

The Starflux is a Horadric Jewel that boosts your Catalyst skill damage by 100%. This means your damage becomes effectively doubled, empowering you to dispose of enemies with ease. The downside of this Horadric Jewel is that it makes you lose control over Horadric Spellcraft, causing your Catalysts to inherit Infusions randomly.

The downside to The Starflux can be a positive or a negative, but what can’t be denied is that it is chaotic fun. The increased damage paired with the unpredictability of the Infusions makes this one of the most fun jewels to use. If you don’t have this in your arsenal yet, our guide is here to help.

You don’t find The Starflux by exploring, and instead have to craft it at the Horadric Lapidary. You first need to acquire the crafting recipe, which you can get by following the steps below:

  • Use a Nightmare Sigil and enter a Nightmare Dungeon at difficulty Torment I or higher
  • Navigate the dungeon using a Horadric Wayfinder and find the Horadric Gateway.
  • Interact with the gateway to enter the Horadric Strongroom.
  • As soon as you enter the strongroom, a timer will begin. Kill and survive till the timer runs out, after which you have to face a boss.
  • Beat the boss to complete the Horadric Strongroom, which will then get you a Horadric Tome. These tomes contain crafting recipes, but the recipe given is determined at random. Keep farming the strongroom till you get The Starflux recipe.

Once you have the recipe, you can craft The Starflux with 3000x Horadric Phials, 15000 Amethyst Fragments, 15000 Diamond Fragments, and 15000 Sapphire Fragments at the Horadric Lapidary.
