Years of watching the likes of Gundam, Pacific Rim, Code Geass, and the like made us think we were ready for the fast-paced action of Mecha Break, but we weren’t—especially not for the Cape Blanc Observatory map.
While the other maps in the game expect you to run riot over your opponents and stack up kills, the Cape Blanc Observatory is different. This Operation Verge mode map requires you to coordinate with your team and play for the objective. The team with more kills is not always the winner in this mode, and that takes time to adjust to. How To Play Cape Blanc Observatory in Mecha Break
Map Rules
As stated earlier, the Cape Blanc Observatory is home to the Operation Verge game mode. Therefore, to master this map, you need to understand the mode first. Operation Verge on Cape Blanc Observatory requires you to extract and dismantle Corite ores.
There are several extractors across the map, and you need to interact with them to begin extraction. A progress bar then appears on your screen. You won’t be able to shoot and have to commit, and it is up to your teammates to defend you and the area. If you take damage, the bar is interrupted, halting progress.
If you successfully fill up the bar and complete an extraction, you get points. In case it’s a large extractor, you get 2 points; if it’s small, 1 point. The first team to reach 8 points in this matchup wins.

How To Play
Keeping the rules of the game mode in mind gives us an idea of how to play Cape Blanc Observatory. Your goal is to find the extractors and eliminate anyone in the vicinity. Once the area is clear, you have to begin extraction. The team must then guard the extractor and hold the ground. The only kills that matter on this map are the ones in service of the objective.
